Lack of medical services and resources, limited transportation options in the event of a medical need or emergency, severe poverty and risks associated with living in tropical wilderness areas make health a key concern for the remote jungle villages along the Miskito Coast. Peace and Hope Frontier Mission is addressing these needs through the following initiatives:

• Clean Water Wells
• Health, Hygiene and Sanitation Education
• Territory-wide distribution of mosquito nets to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses
• Logistical support and leadership of dental teams
• Medical outreach to remote villages through partnership with local medical professionals by providing transportation, medical supplies, logistical support and emergency evacuation of patients
• Emergency disaster relief and post-crisis support
• Construction of rainwater collection systems
• Construction, support and maintenance of a village clinics

Peace and Hope Frontier Mission is also currently exploring new sustainable models for supplying clean drinking water to villages.
