We recently celebrated the completion of an essential and comprehensive Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) program in Betania. This is a 3 month community-led program to equip and empower the people we serve with the knowledge they need to employ the best possible hygiene and sanitation practices in their community.

We trained 11 community members who then set out to train their entire community. This training goes hand in hand with our well drilling and clean water program. (see the 2 photos at the bottom of the page)

We just inaugurated "Roger's Reading Corner" (named after Roger Drost) at the basecamp in Kansas City. We wanted to provide a safe and comfortable place for children to have the opportunity to read and understand the importance of education. "Roger's Reading Corner" has been very popular as you can see in the 3 photos below. This is yet another way to bring hope and encouragement to those who have so little.

It is your support that makes thispossible! Thank you for your support of Peace and Hope and Mission: Hope!

Warmest regards from Nicaragua!

Peter Coleman
